Pha Tang Chiang Rai



Chiang Rai Travel to Pha Tang about 160 km. from Chiang Rai City, is viewing point on top of a high cliff over the Thai- Laotian  border  affording a delightful scene for the river and the sea of mist throughout the year. During December - January, blooming Sakuras provide a picturesque scenery. It is home to the Chinese Haw, the Hmong and Yao minorities. The Haws are the remnants of the 93rd Chinese Division who moved in to settle on Doi Pha Tang. There are a  lots of  bungalows & tents serve tourists.

Oub Kham Museum
is located at 81/1 na khai road  Tambon Rob Wiang near Den Ha market  1 kilometer from the centre of town. The collection embraces objects used in the royal courts such as Lanna court, Khum Chao Phare and Khum Chao Chiang Mai some parts are from northeast Myanmar, southwest China and Vietnam  which are about 500-1,000 years old. Admire 120 year-old ancient fabrics Sin Mai Kham-golden  silk skirt-from the Mandalay, the golden throne, king's golden costumes and silver ornaments. A golden bowl used by royals,is a masterpiece. all of those shown the glory of the kingdom in the past. lt opens daily from 8.00 a.m. - 6.00 p.m.

Wat Pra Kaew Chiang Rai

Wat Pra kaew Aram Luang Third Level Civilian Type. Its original name is Wat Payie or Wat Paya the indigenous Yie trees (Golden bamboo)  inside the temple. The year 1434 lightning pagoda.

Doi Wawee Chiang Rai



Doi Wawee Chiang Rai  is a small community living in peace. This is a source of good tae: Oolong No.12. It was said that the first tea plantation in Thailand began here. The one-thousand-year-old tea tree of three arm circumference is still found in the forest in Ban Mai Phatthana. Every year there is the Wawee Tea Sampling Festival in December.
To Get There: It is 85 km from Chiang Rai town. Take Highway 118 (Mae Suai - Chiang Rai) and turn right to follow the winding Ban Tin Doi - Ban mai mok cham Road. past the Mae Suai Dam. It is an asphalt road all along the route where all types of cars can travel.

Doi Chang






Doi Chang is located in mu 3, Ban doi chang Tambon Wawi Chiang Rai Province. 
The largest coffee growing areas in Chiang Rai province and exported all over the world in the name. Doi Chang Coffee.  And This is the location of the Chiang Rai Service Centre for Crops and Production Resources Here There are home-grown  temperate fruits and vegetables tangerine and Tea plantation, a campsite, and a viewpoint, Doi Kat Phi. During the cool season,
a sea of mist can be seen in all directions, and the entrance will be spotted with cherry 
blossoms in pinkish-white and flowers and fruits of peach trees. The surrounding view
features beautifully overlapping mountain ranger and can be seen as far as Mong Yawng, a city in Myanmar From the viewpoint, travel further for 2 km and see the Doi Chang Buddhist Park where pristine forest has been maintained, with a large lake 
in the centre surrounded by trees of different  sizes, and the Buddhist Ground where
there are many Buddha images in various postures for the people to pay homage.
Next is a holy well being always filled with clear,clean,and cool water. 

To get there: Use the same route to Doi wawi,Highway 118, past Mae Suai, Ban tin doi,  to  Doi Chang.
Recommended since the dirt road is 15 km  long.  Doi Kat Phi or Phu Nom Saois one of the best viewpoints for a sea of mist. It is situated 1,650 m above sea level
